Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.
Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.
In the past few years we have witness an improvement in the following areas:
- enhanced the relationship between the school and parish
- through ongoing assessment ensured students demonstrate a deeper knowledge of prayer and scripture evidenced
- improved student outcomes in Mathematics, reading and writing data
- increased student engagement in Mathematics, which is enhanced by the ‘Mathematical Expertise and Excellence’ initiative
- built teacher capacity which is reflected in quality teaching and learning
- provided enhanced opportunities for collaboration and response to data
- completed the construction and refurbishment of learning spaces, demonstrating alignment with current research, the principles of Authentic Learning and environmental sustainability.
