We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
Parents play an integral role in the life of St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School Central Bankstown. We aspire to work in partnership with the parent community so that the children experience a strong bond between home and school.
After School Care – OOSH
St Brendan’s Out of School Hours (OOSH) program is available onsite at St Brendan’s and provided by Kids@WELDON. Visit Kids@WELDON for more information or pick up an information pack from the School Office.
School Uniform
The school hat, bag and winter jacket can be bought at the school office. Summer, winter and sports uniforms can be purchased at Lowes at Bankstown Centro. We also have some second-hand uniforms available for purchase at St Brendan’s, which include school and sports uniforms and are available for purchase during school hours.
Application for Leave from Attendance at School
Parents/Caregivers must apply for a Certificate of Leave from Attending School for their child when seeking leave as it is a legal requirement to attend school eg a planned holiday during term time. Parents write a letter requesting leave and then they will receive an application form. A copy of the travel documents must be attached. If the request is approved, parents will then receive a Certificate of Exemption for the child.
Upon arrival, students are not permitted to leave the grounds unless parent permission is obtained.
